A schoolhouse opened here in 1912 and taught the district’s children until 1955. It went on to shelter riders and campers exploring the High Country, until one night in the late 1970s a log rolled from the fireplace and the old school burnt down. Passers-by raised the alarm in time.
After years standing empty, the land was bought privately in 1984 and the barn was built. It has been the heart of the homestead ever since, and every celebration adds the next chapter.
